Hello, my name is Paul Hines and my first foray into the Travel world was in YTB as an affiliate, I figured here was a company well established in the Travel industry and seemed pretty solid to me, I never thought about the fact that I couldn't join was because of the big price tag and It didn't hit home until later on.
As I tried to promote and market YTB the first thing I noticed was that people got sticker shock over the $500 price tag, I tried to explain to the people that $500 wasn't really all that much to invest in for your own business.
They all told me basically the same thing, that I was right but I may as well be asking for $5000 and with the economy the way it is, they just didn't have it. After hearing this from so many people, I ran into a company called Traverus.
Their start-up cost was a fraction of the cost of YTB and their comp. plan was the best I've ever seen in any industry, the choice was easy, I moved over to YTB and was easily able to become an (RTA) or, referring travel agent.
The training is great and the uplines are informative, I think I'll stay.
